Bahrain’s regulatory framework is aimed at creating a productive environment for start-ups in the Kingdom. The Bahrain Economic Board’s head of start-ups Pakiza Abdulrahman said:

The past year has seen Zain Bahrain sign a number of agreements with start-ups in the country, including an MoU with the accelerator programme Flat6Labs Bahrain which will see the partners cooperate on mentorship initiatives.
In addition to partnering with StartUp Bahrain, Zain is also collaborating with Bahrain National Broadband Network (BNET) to deliver new fibre broadband packages via the country’s largest fibre network.
This will enable services such as 8K streaming, virtual reality, online gaming, and swift downloads. Customers will be able to access as much as 1.5TB of data per month on some tariffs.
