Work progress on bridge in Bahrain’s Sitra inspected

  • Bahrain News

Bahrain’s Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf has inspected work on Bridge 17 at Um Al Saad Avenue, near Bandar Al Dar in Sitra.

The project, designed as two bridges to accommodate traffic on the avenue and the housing and industrial expansion in the area, will replace the current bridge with another with two lanes in either direction with an emergency lane to enhance traffic movement and boost safety levels, Bahrain News Agency reported.

The current bridge has been impacted due to cracks as a result of the high number of heavy vehicles passing on Um Al Saad Avenue.
