Three die of COVID-19 in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has announced the detection of 377 new cases of the COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 49,038.

Health officials said that 138 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 231 others were infected from local contacts of active cases and 8 are travel related.

The latest cases were identified after conducting over 9,166 tests in the past 24 hours, pushing the total number of tests done so far to 1,029,969. The ministry also announced that 423 patients have made full recovery from coronavirus bringing the total number of patients recovered to 45,589 so far.

The latest update revealed that there are currently 68 cases receiving treatment, of which 33 are in a critical condition.

Over 3,233 cases are stable out of a total of 3,266 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 45,589.

A 50-year-old male expatriate, a 78-year-old male citizen and a 41-year-old female citizen died from the coronavirus, taking the death toll to 184.
