Southern governor stresses support to youth

Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has highlighted the kingdom’s leaders’ unwavering support for Bahraini youth.

Under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and thanks to the support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the kingdom allocates unlimited interest in youth, and gives them top priority in its programmes, being the nation’s bright future assets, he said.

The governor was speaking while inaugurating the youth talent and achievments exhibition, organised by the Southern Governorate at the Royal Golf Club marking the International Youth Day, under the theme «Southern Governorate’s Youth Our Pride».

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali asserted that the expo aimed to honour the Southern Governorate’s youth who had set the example in their devotion and giving, stressing that the governorate always places meeting youth’s aspirations on top of everything else.

The governor stressed that the kingdom boasts youth competencies who have proved their distinction at the local, regional and international levels thanks to the constant support they enjoy from HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praising HH Shaikh Nasser’s youth-dedicated programmes and plans.

The governor then presented the participants in the artistic, sports, scientific and literary fields with awards.

The participants expressed delight at taking part in the expo and being honoured by HH the Southern Governor.
