Southern Governor opens avenue in West Riffa

Following royal directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa opened the Majid bin Nasser Al-Majid Al-Nuaimi Avenue in West Riffa.

The inauguration was attended by dignitary Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Nuaimi, Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, Southern Police director-general Brigadier Hamad bin Ali Al-Merri and members of the Al-Naim tribe.




HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa hailed the royal gesture of HM the King to name the main avenue after one of the Al-Naim tribesmen in recognition of their memory and honourable stances.

He paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. He stressed the keenness of the Southern Governorate to implement the royal directives and reach out to citizens on all occasions.

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi addressed the opening ceremony and thanked the Southern Governor, hailing the royal gesture of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to name the main avenue after an historic personality.

He commended the role of the Southern Governorate, led by HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, to reach out to citizens in all fields, stressing the delight of the Al-Naim tribe. Nasser bin Rashid bin Fahd Al-Majid Al-Nuaimi delivered a poem, extending the thanks and gratitude of the Al-Naim tribe to HM the King and reiterating their unwavering allegiance, following in the steps of their fathers and forefathers.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa then cut the ribbon, signaling the inauguration of the Majid bin Nasser Al-Majid Al-Nuaimi Avenue, hailing the royal gesture. The Al-Naim tribesmen extended deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect him.

They also expressed thanks HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa for opening the Majid bin Nasser Al-Majid Al-Nuaimi Avenue.



The 1500-metre long avenue represents one of the main historic and vital arteries, in West Riffa, linking blocs 902, 904, 908, 910 and 912.
