SHAIKH Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Bahrain Olympic Committee president, yesterday chaired the weekly virtual meeting of the coordination, execution and follow-up Committee- “Estijabah” (Response).
The meeting was attended by Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain Football Association (BFA).
Shaikh Khalid instructed the attendees to form a committee to implement the suggestion made by Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa to launch an open football league.
Shaikh Khalid stressed the importance of putting in place the required measures to ensure launching the league in line with the vision and ambitions of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and chairman Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
