Nass’s work on American University of Bahrain campus 95% complete

Construction work on American University of Bahrain’s (AUBH) 7.5ha campus in Riffa, which is being carried out Nass Construction – a subsidiary of Bahrain Bourse-listed Nass Group – is 95% complete, with handover of the education facility scheduled for August 2019.

In a statement on its LinkedIn page, the university revealed that the installation of internal furnishings is now being carried out, with the university set to welcome its first batch of students in September 2019.

According to information published on Nass Corporation’s website, the contractor was tasked with the construction of seven academic buildings and related external works for the campus.

On its website, Bahrain’s Gulf House Engineering — the masterplanner behind Diyar Al Muharraq and consultant for the university project – states that the campus features 878 parking spaces.

US-based masterplanner and architecture firm Ayers Saint Gross, which has worked on campus projects for University of Pittsburgh, University of Illinois, and University of Virginia, has designed the campus.

The campus features four three-storey academic buildings, a 250-seat auditorium, and a library.
