Muharraq knocked Manama out of the King’s Cup competition after winning their quarter-final second leg match by penalty shootout 4-3 last night at Muharraq Club Stadium.

With the victory, Muharraq qualified for the semi-final and will take on Riffa, who defeated Al Shabab 3-1 in their own quarter-final playoff late last night.

The full time score of Muharraq and Manama match was 1-0 for the former, so they ended up tied with a total score of 2-2. Manama, however, had won the first leg 2-1.

Muharraq’s winning goal came in the 40th minute of the first half through Abdulrahman Al Ahmadi.

The match went to penalty shootout with no extra time played.
