A concert is scheduled to be held under the patronage of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.

The concert comes as part of the National Day celebrations: “Manama Doesn’t Sleep“, organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)’s Cultural Hall on December 15 at 10 pm.

Rising artiste Banah will be performing in a concert orchestrated by maestro Ziyad Zeman: “Once upon a dream: Music between the East and West”.

Among the lineup is Banah’s new song “Shou Helou Nihna”, in addition to modern renditions of classical songs by musical legends such as Fairouz, Mohammed Abdel Wahab, Majida El Roumi, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald. The concert will be a fusion of Eastern and Western music and will take its audience on a journey into the past and present. Performing alongside Banah will be a band composed of 15 major performers from the region and the Bahrain National Orchestra.

The concert will be open to the public and is part of the events lineup held over 12 hours under the “Manama Doesn’t Sleep” event, sponsored by Tamkeen, National Bank of Bahrain, and Derma Care Clinic. It aims to give audiences the opportunity to enjoy winter nights through eating, listening to music and experiencing art.

The activities come in line with the Authority’s celebration of the December festivities such as Bahrain National Day and Bahraini Women’s Day. The initiative will offer visitors a varied cultural and entertaining experience as well as an exploration of the Kingdom’s unique heritage.

Banah is renowned for her different musical style from other mainstream Arab artistes in the region. She managed within a short time, to take part in several well-known nationwide music festivals including the Spring of Culture 2017, International Music Festival and the Jazz Festival.

Her YouTube channel includes different covers of famous Arabic and English songs which gained over 150,000 views from her viewers across the Arab World.

Banah is gearing up for the release of her second single by the end of December this year, following the success of her first single “Shou Helou Nihna” in August 2018, which gained over 1 million views within 6 weeks of its debut.
