Bahrain says 77 citizens evacuated from Iran have coronavirus

Seventy-seven Bahrainis evacuated from Iran on a special flight tested positive for coronavirus, the health ministry said on Wednesday.

Those infected were transferred to a quarantine centre and the remaining 88 who tested negative were moved to a separate facility.

Bahrain has recorded 210 cases, including 30 who recovered.

Elsewhere in the Gulf region, the UAE has 86 infections, Kuwait has 112, Saudi Arabia has 103 and Oman has 20.

As of Sunday, global cases rose above 160000 with 6000 deaths.
