The Ministry of Health has stressed that measures have been taken to protect the community, with the dental clinic closed and testing for everyone who had been in contact with the dentist.
It comes as confirmed cases in the kingdom reached 109, with the biggest jump in new cases diagnosed on Monday.
Meanwhile, a treatment ward at Salmaniya Medical Complex has been temporarily closed after a resident doctor tested positive for coronavirus.
According to the ministry, the doctor was in direct contact with her mother, who had returned from abroad and was registered as testing positive for Covid-19.
The ward is due to reopen on Tuesday after being completely sterilised and disinfected, while the doctor has been isolated for treatment.
A report on the Bahrain News Agency website said:
“The ministry has taken measures to ensure all those in contact with the resident doctor have been tested, with all tests returning negative results, and have been urged to isolate themselves at home for 14 days, with paid medical leave.”
Health officials have also closed a café in Sanad after two people, who had returned from countries affected by the coronavirus did not follow the isolation guidelines and visited the establishment.
The café has been sterilised and disinfected and all individuals who had been in contact with two returnees have been tested for the virus.
