Bahrain International Book Fair postponed

Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has announced the postponement of the 19th edition of Bahrain International Book Fair, slated for March 25, until further notice.

The biennial event, organised by BACA, during which Kuwait will be the guest of honour, represents a pillar of the comprehensive growth witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The cultural event has a positive significance as it reflects the kingdom’s interest in promoting culture as a mirror of peoples.

Held under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the fair is expected to draw a large number of participants.

Previous editions were able to attract around 120,000 titles from 250 Arab and international publishing companies.

The fair has been able to gain an international reputation over the past years which encouraged many Arab and foreign publishing houses to take part in it, in light of the growing turnout of visitors which consolidates the kingdom’s vital role as a regional cultural hub.
